Vintage Macfarlane Lang & Co. biscuit tin. The tin is meant to look like a wooden writing slope. The writing surfaces open up to reveal where the biscuits once were. The underside is marked "Macfarlane Lang & Co. Biscuit Manufacturers. Glasgow & London. Established 1817". The tin shows wear, marks and scratches throughout. One of the worn areas in the biscuit portion of the tin shows some light surface rust. The lid of the tin is a little bit out of alignment so it is a bit wonky to close. The tin measures 8" x 5 1/2" x 3 7/8". Quite a neat little piece. Please pm me for additional pictures.
