Vintage Brown & Sharpe Mfg. Co. set of scales. The scales are marked "Brown & Sharpe Mfg. Co. Providence, R.I. USA". The small set of scales has a cast base. There is a level bubble and a movable screw foot to get the scale level. The scale shows wear and marks throughout as well as a few small paint splatters here and there. Some of the worn areas show light surface rust. The scale is missing a small screw on the underside so the center post can spin around if manipulated. The scale would have originally came with 10 extra weights but there are only 5 still with the scale. It looks like the little metal rod that the weigh basket hangs from has partially broken off at some point. The scale measures approx. 7 1/4" long, 4" wide and 7" tall. It comes with a piece of paper showing the description of similar scales. Please pm me for additional pictures.
