Old Northern Electric switchboard operator's chair. Wood and metal construction. The ring for the foot rest is rubber coated. The wooden back rest is adjustable. The cane seat is showing a bit of damage at the very front and the back edge. The chair shows wear and marks throughout. There are a few paint marks here and there. The chrome legs show wear and light surface rust. The underside of the chair is marked "4-A Operator's Chair. Made For Northern Electric Company Limited, By Canadian Colortype Limited, Hamilton, Ontario". The chair measures 43 1/2" to the top of the back. The seat height is 28 3/4".
